Due to COVID-19, a lot of procedures you’ve adopted in USSF also apply during NFHS games for AHSAA.
- Mask on at all times before and after games when interacting with players, coaches and staff.
- Separate meetings with coaches and team captains.
- Only one Captain from each team during meeting.
- No gaiters allowed on players during play.
- Fist and elbow bumps to your fellow referee crew.
- Bring own water and snack/food.
- Practice social distancing whenever possible.
It is encouraged that all referees have a face-mask that is solid colored (preferably black) or a sports-based mask like Under Armor or Reebok and if not possible that they have one without a distracting design.
After game is over, there is no need to sign anything or stick around, so you can leave pick up whatever you left and head to the parking lot towards your car.
