The January clinic jamboree is an event that is required for every referee who has 3 years of experience or less to attend. This is an referee workshop event where high schools “get into the season” by scrimmaging other high schools with their junior varsity and varsity teams.
The matches are 25 minutes in length with 5 minutes until the next match and is the best primer for any new referee to see how the NFHS referee signals apply. Not only that, it’s a good way to get a lot of practice in because there will be games from 8 AM to 3-5 PM in multiple venues with mentors and other referees.
